Our team comprises three world-renowned consultant dermatologists, skilled hair transplant practitioners, and clinical nurses. Dr Ragini Ghiya, Dr Pooja Sharma and Dr. Bevin Bhoyrul bring decades of collective experience in FUE techniques and hair loss pathology. An onsite team of trichologists and hair health specialists supports us.
Dr Ghiya has 15 years' senior experience in hair transplant surgery. She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), a member of ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons), and has delivered talks at different national and international conferences on hair transplant on varied topics.
Types of FUE We Offer
We offer and perform THREE different types of follicle unit extraction (FUE):
Shaven FUE - shaving usually refers to the donor hair area; recipient hair area can be left long. This type of FUE is commonly performed with males, or in female cases where the donor area required to shave is smaller.
Non-Shaven FUE - no shaving is performed at the donor or recipient area.
Long Hair FUE - grafts are extracted with existing long hair and implated wiht long hair.
Body hair transplant - a type of FUE where donor hair is taken from body when scalp hair supply is exhausted.
How does FUE Work?
During the initial consult, the goals of hair transplant and inital outcomesa are discussed and decided. Accordingly, number of grafts required, suitable donor area including scalp hair and body hair, are decided. The time involved in the procedure varies depending on the number of grafts and type of procedure, but is tyically 6-8 hours long.
